Ibifuro Tatua Bags International Award


An entrepreneur and publisher of Boss African Magazine, a general interest magazine that publishes engaging, important and original stories, Mrs. Ibifuro Tatua has been named African Young Achiever of the Year.

The award was conferred on her by the Institute of Leadership and Management (a West African Leading Leadership Institute) and Achievers Media at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Accra.


The Institute while presenting the award to her said Tatua demonstrated excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to her businesses and communities.

“She also contributed substantially to African advancement as well as in the development of her country, Nigeria”.

Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari was named the Best African Actress while late BBC broadcaster Komla Afeke Dumor was also announced winner of Excellence in Broadcasting.


African Achievers Awards (AAA) is geared at recognizing excellent individuals and institutions that have distinguished themselves in their contribution to the growth and development of Africa.


In 2012, the African Achievers Annual award was hosted by King’s College London after which the recipients of the awards proceeded to a Dinner at the prestigious Waldorf Hilton Hotel, London.


African Achievers Award recipients include: Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, who was awarded in recognition of his fight for human rights, justice and peace; Rt. Hon. Joyce Banda (President of Malawi) in recognition of her excellence in leadership; Hon. Thokhozani Khupe (former Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe) in recognition of her women empowerment; Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, amongst others.


The 2013 edition of African achievers awards held in Hilton Hotels Nairobi, Kenya on the 23rd of February 2013, and the theme for the award, was ‘THE FUTURE IS AFRICA’. Late Prof. Atta Mills, former President of Ghana won a Posthumous Award for EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP.


Tatua, who is also the Director of Communications of Peoples Movement, a non-governmental organization that bridges the gap between government and the masses, the Chief Executive Officer of Boss Pan Africa Limited, an oil and gas contracting and servicing firm and also the boss of Zamoor Potential Ventures, an event outfit was recently named Outstanding Woman Achiever of the year by the Church and Mission Magazine for touching the lives of the needy and inspiring many to greatness.


In 2013, Tatua was named Young Performing Personality of the Year at the 4th Niger Delta Achievers Merit Awards. She was also an awardee at the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Award in New York. She was also given a Doris Fred Book Award.
