Again, Anioma leaders endorse Olejeme
Prominent leaders in the Delta North area of Nigeria have assured the Chairman, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSTIF), Dr. Ngozi Olejeme that their people will always identify with her quest to bring positive development to the state.
They also urged the NSITF boss to contest the 2015 governorship election and translate her wealth of experience into the governance of the state.
The leaders and elders from Delta North spoke on Monday when they paid courtesy visit to the Director General, U and I Foundation.
“We are convinced that your wealth of experience through the positions you have held so far will bring about a holistic agenda aimed at transforming Delta State. We are also sure that your strategy will address issues relating to continuity, consistency, commitment to the people and the ideals of good governance” President-General, Idumuje-Ugboko Development Union (IUDU), Mr. Ndidi Odor who led the leaders and the elders on a courtesy visit to U and I headquarters said.
The leaders described Olejeme as a great source of inspiration, stressing that her good works in public service have circulated her credentials beyond her imagination.
“We congratulate Dr. Ngozi Olejeme on the positive changes in the various administrative positions held in the country. Her exemplary records in public service and kind gestures are enough credentials for her to attain a greater height. Indeed, we are proud of her” the leaders said.
The leaders, who vowed to sanction individuals and organizations working against the agenda of the zone, said” Olejeme is a born leader, a good listener, an achiever and a go-getter”.
Responding, the Deputy Director, You and I Foundation, Barrister Raymos Guanah thanked them for the visit and admonished them to render selfless service to the people.
“Olejeme will take care of teachers, the students, the traders, the pregnant women, the elders, the handicapped and the disabled. She will work hard to make Delta State great” he added.
Olejeme praises Jonathan
Chairman, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme on Saturday praised President Goodluck Jonathan for taking the greatest step in Nigerian history towards gender equality, women rights and empowerment.
In a statement issued in Asaba to mark the 2014 International Women’s Day by the Deputy Director General, You and I Foundation, Barrister Raymos Guanah, Olejeme described President Jonathan as an embodiment of progress, peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
The NSITF boss urged women to think of ways of claiming more space and opportunities in future.
She thanked the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan for championing gender equality and women’s empowerment.
She also urged the women to support her advocacy for women’s advancement and gender balance in Nigeria.
‘We need to work towards increasing the number of women in decision making positions, parliament and other governmental positions in future. We need to create more awareness and support women seeking elective positions. We need to train our children’’ she said.
“Women have proved over the years that they can be trusted” she added.

Olejeme Bags Global Women Champion Award
Chairman, Board of Directors, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Olejeme has been honoured with Global Women Champion award.
The award was conferred on her by Global Connection for Women Foundation at the famous and prestigous Harvard Club in New York, United States of America during the International Women’s Day presented by the founder of GC4W Foundation, Ms Lilian Ajayi.
Ajayi while presenting the award to her said Olejeme has invested greatly in women empowerment, in the advancement of the course of the girl child as well as in the overall public good.
“The award recipient has contributed substantially to national advancement as well as in the development of her state, Delta State” Ajayi stated.
Ajayi said Olejeme will bring her wealth of managerial experience, national and international contacts to bear for the development of her state and Nigeria in general when she becomes Delta State governor.
She added that GC4W has undertaken the important task of celebrating the accomplishments of international women leaders and global women champions, whose remarkable efforts have made tremendous impacts on the economic growth and advancement of women.
According to her, “the International Women’s Day celebrates the social, political and economic achievements of women while focusing the word’s attention on areas requiring further action”.
In her response to the ward, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Olejeme said “I dedicate this award to God Almighty through the Lord Jesus Christ, my Lord. I also dedicate it to President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan who God has used in my life. He has given women the opportunity to contribute more to nation building”.
She further said that women and the girl child are very important component in the history of family. “President Jonathan has given women the voice to be able to talk and people will hear.
In line with what President Goodluck Jonathan is doing, It has informed us to make sure that the girl child also is brought up in a way that she will be a woman and her voice will be heard”.
Olejeme, who is Delta State gubernatorial aspirant, is also Chairman Boards of Directors, Trusfund Pension Plc; Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, ABLE JES Nigeria Limited; and Chairman, Fresh Energy Nigeria Limited.
